Updates for October

*Disney carnival! You could win prizes by tickets or for an awesome costume. I was a Newsie! The only one. Quite a few people didn't know the movie!

* Salsa dance. I didn't dance much cause I didn't have a date. I did look fly though!

*I was in another photoshoot, done by my buddy Tyler. Luckily I was already dressed up! They turned out wonderful.

* Saw Avatar for the first time! Sooooooooo good!

(I don't remember the rest)

Update for September

*Another awesome 80's dance!

*I turned 22

* We had our annual movie on the lawn, this year, emperor's new groove!

*I shot my first film for Intro into Video class, it's on my facebook or youtube!!!

*Went with my "brother" Alex to ice cream for a late birthday thang!

*Serve day we worked for .... some organization doing yard work, etc. I worked at the office because I am not good with yardwork, and I got done super early. The serve fair was fun as always. There was this oddly dressed band playing and they had me and some others do background vocals! Tehehe.

*Slip n' slide on the Quad!

* I was upset for a few days, so one night me and my buddy Sarah Cadd went to Blockbusters, I got two movies, and we ate at Red Robin!

* Main Event again! Our shirts were awesome! The front had the word Apartments in the shape of a cow, the back said, "Udder Destruction"! We got third again. I had to eat a napkin for a event, ewwww!

That's all I can remember!

Update for August

* My oldest sister Kristin got married! She is now Kristin Marie Edwards! The wedding was gorgeous, and my sister and her bridesmaids (both me and my other sister Katie were bridesmaids) looked beautiful, especially the bride. I am happy to have Jake as a brother.

Low points: Beer getting spilled on me while people danced with beer on the dance floor, taking pictures with the sun in our eyes, heat and standing on sore feet in heels, starting late, people super stressed

High points: The dresses, the ceremony, THE FOOD YUM, dancing, the special dance for Kristin we learned (When Kristin was in high school, she and her fellow lifeguards made a dance up so we learned it and surprised her after the toasts), the toasts, my awesome French date, seeing people I hadn't seen in a while, the smile on both my sister and brother-in-law's faces, watching them dance, my mom and dad dancing a dance because it was on their anniversary, the pinata (Thierry has been staying in Mexico so he brought an authentic one).

We also got Team Kristin or Team Jake shirts!

*Went to crater lake with dad, Katie, and Thierry our French exchange student (he came down for the wedding, and was my date)

* Moved into Woolman apartments and starting my senior year at Fox.

*Hoedown y'all! It was good to see everyone!

I'm sure there's more, but I cannot remember.

Update for July

*I saw the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time and Despicable Me with my best buddy from high school. It was fun to hang out with her, and the movies were great!

* I went bowling with my future brother-in-law, sister and our family friends at Lava lanes, it was a lot of fun. We all had bowling names, or nicknames, mine was Small Fry. Lol. Not much of a good bowler though lol.

*We went to our beach house in Brookings for the fourth. You could actually see the fireworks this year.

*I also saw Last Airbender and Toy Story 3 with my mother's best friend from high schools daughter Eryn, she stayed with us for summer and worked for my parents.

*I shortly worked at Wendys, for three weeks. I enjoyed it but got let go for not being fast paced enough. My manager said he know I tried hard and was a nice girl, but yeah... he also said if I applied for a different job he'd be happy to be a reference.

*Saw Eclipse with a buddy from high school Scott Hubbs, well we weren't friends then but met at a buddy's birthday party and became friends!

I think that's all!

Update for June

*I interviewed at Wendy's. The first one was with the regional manager, the second with the location manager I'd possibly work with... AND I GOT THE JOB! I start training on Wednesday. (This blog was started before this Wednesday)

*I did Relay for Life. This year was "Turning the page on Cancer." So we were the Sneetches from Dr. Seuss' "Sneetches and other stories". I walked twice and hit 16 times around the track, which is much more than I'd thought I could!

*We went to an annual Duffin' for Ducks fundraiser for U of O athletics, and I got to shake hands and take a picture with the former coach Mike Belotti... Duck fan squee!

*Went to Las Vegas for my sister's bachelorette party! It was pretty fun actually! We just ate dinner the first night and went to a awesome club or Encore's the Beach! Afterwards, a friend of the family's took me on a quick tour down the strip where all the lights and stuff are, Vegas is gorgeous at night. The next day, the afternoon we hung at the pool and me and mom went to Ross to get me a dress (one of the two I brought was button up, and fit fine,... but..ahaha)! It's gorgeous! Then we went to dinner and another club. I didn't like it, cause there were dancers wearing practically nothing, crowded, smoky and weird dudes. But I did get asked to dance by a guy who seemed nice. I looked at one of the girls with our group and she helped me. He got me a bottle of water later. Don't worry, I didn't drink more than one drink a day, or get wild, gamble,... etc. I got uncomfortable with some of the party stuff with male body parts on them and refused.

*Went to see Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time with my best buddy from High school! It was good!

Updates from the last two months

Haven't updated in a while! So I may not remember a whole lot from the last two months.

* I had a milk and oreo party during Dead day during finals week so people could take a study break and enjoy a yummy snack.

* I captured some of my first color photos (I'll add a separate blog to post them)and they actually turned out nice!!!

*I went to a Just Lions and Katie Carlene/Customary concert in the Foxhole, they performed well and had lots of people there!

*Went to most of the baseball games.

*I took a mad dive for the frisbee in Ultimate frisbee and hit the ground hard. I got the wind knocked out of me, and my chest wall was bruised. I was gasping and sore hours afterwards. I'm doing better but when I lift somewhat heavy stuff it hurts again. Not sure why...

* Ninja asked me to be John Mountz for what they called Ninjees. It's like roomies but Ninja picks everyone's date but his own. It was a blast. We played sardines in EHS! We didn't play long. Afterwards, me and John went to Bk and came back. We ate at my place and watched youtube videos. I of course had the best date. He was a gentleman and gave me a hug and picked me up... only Jay Miller and John M. have... =) I like those kind of hugs!

*Before ninjees and opening night I ushered for our spring play "Eurydice" (Ur-rid-des-cee). I even got to do warm ups the second night I ushered with the actors and crew, we also prayed and sang.

* I went to the formal in a group with Allie (not sure of her last name), Daniel Cazarez (Allie was his date), Brad Gregory and Kacey Parks, Lily Abildayeva, Marie Reuf, and Jaynie Post. It was fun. We went to Red Robin, and got to the dance with about an hour and a half to go (wish we had been there sooner.

Update for March

* I'm doing ok in school, one class is kicking my butt. But I'm going to keep my head high and fight to pass!

* I hit Florida to visit my sister who goes to Stetson law and family. We went to the beach, my sisters, soon brother-in-law and dad went jet skiing while my mom and I sat on the shore, went to Pirates vs Braves spring training game, hung with family, and went to DisneyWorld's Epcot.

* 50's carnival.

* Willy came and visited a few Thursdays ago, and we hung out, played ultimate frisbee and threw my football around, not to mention goofed off as usual. He's amazing!

* DJ Robadobdob was my first co-host this semester and was so much fun to have on the show! You know him as Robert Hall.

*Went to Julianne Johnson's St. Patty's party, it was pretty fun. Friends, fun and music.

* Went on Spring retreat. WHAT A BLAST! You can read more about it in my last two blogs.

* I was in a film I didn't write the script for! It was Krechen Klein's senior reel. I was a clueless girl who's vocab mainly consists of "totally" and "like". Zoey did make a funny joke about Belguim waffles.

That's all for now folks!!!

Spring retreat '10

Low points:
* I thought my ipod was dying * I thought (luckily it didn't) my camera was gonna run out of battery *I felt somewhat left out at the dance because no one really stuck with me dancing and I couldn't think of moves. *Stress about the test tomorrow, studying

High points:
* The dance was still fun *Early morning donuts *The beach was amazing, sand sculptures, pictures, the ocean, friends, and the sense of peace I always feel at the beach *Friends in general, making new ones *The car trips with music, laughter, and accents *The food *Going to the Tillamook cheese factory and getting cheese/lunch *Final gathering being in a big circle holding hands and singing *Playing games *Our short ultimate game... the list is endless but that is most of it!!!

What a relaxing weekend!!!

Updates for January and February

* I got my job back at the bon, and as of yesterday I'm off probation, but still can't take other's shifts... I need the money... =( And work has been more and more annoying. I am debating on working there next year or not.

* I tried color photos on my photography camera for the first time, just haven't done anything with the roll yet!!

* I failed two exams. Bummer, and I studied. That's only a small part of my many frustrations, this, work, and many other things.

* I saw Players presents Friday, good stuff!!! Great work guys!!

* Early February my good friend Steve Mortinson came and visited! It was SOOOOO GOOD to see him. However I haven't heard from him since then. =( I hope he's doing ok in Korea.

* Steve and I'm joint book is almost done, just waiting for some photos from Steve, unless I can look through again and find some that fit!! When they are done, if you wanna copy, let me know and I need payment!!!

* Alex Post now lives in Newberg!!! Yay!!! He's helped me a lot.

* I had the best Valentines/SAD party ever!!! About 15 people came!!! We ate food, chatted, played Apples to Apples/ Chutes and Ladders, took pictures and watched Rob Hall dance single ladies!!! Hahahah. Way to rock it Rob!!! I also got a lot of Valentines day, thanks everyone!!!

* My Camp Counseling and Programming class went to Tilikum for a retreat. My gosh its beautiful. It was fun, cooking our own stuff, playing games and learning its history. Low point, we slept in a tent with wood floors and bunks....br... hahah, funny thing the toilets near our camp look like porta-potties (they aren't) but have bible book names,... first John, 2nd John, 3rd John and Revelation!!! Ahahahah!!!

* Lipsync was awesome!! Dak's group won again. Ninja struck out again. I think Ramalamas should have won.... but at least they and Rob's group placed!!!

*I've been playing Beatles rock band!!! =D

* Been having struggles with diabetes but I managed.

* Saw V for Vendetta finally, good movie despite A. It's rated R B. Intense scenes C. There are some parts of the plot I couldn't understand... "Remember, remember, the fifth of November, the gunpower and treason plot, I know of no reason, why t this gunpower treason should ever be forgot."

*I've been attending Tigard Friends Church and think I found the place. My friend Forrest attends there, and his family has been bringing me to church with them. They are (the Cammacks) a wonderful family! They even invited me over for dinner last (not the 28th, the one before) Sunday to lunch at their place, Tami is a good cook! She also helped me this morning (technically yesterday morn) by seeing how I was because I asked Dan Cammack if I could find a place to talk to God privately. I was in tears. After starting to calm down, we talked and I felt even more better. The people are very welcoming and kind! =D

* Barracuda is on fire!!! One game I scored my highest 3 points, my personal best game was three Thursday, 5 (?) catches/throws, 3 tds, and won the game for my team!! Two thursdays ago I caught three passes I never thought I would have gotten! Yeyeah!

*A couple of weeks ago I went to my first Blazer's game for Roomies!! It was a blast! The music, the game, my awesome roomies date Scotty Porter, a bag of popcorn= fun! I am now a Blazer's fan. I want to go to another one!!!

Hospital bed

Lying in bed,
unable to move,
only able to see and hear,
her friends worried faces,
in that hotel room,
doctors asking her to move,
but something is wrong,
she is frightened,
not sure what's going on,
Next thing she knows,
she is in another bed,
at the hospital,
not remembering,
even though she was conscious,
how she got there,

IV in her hand again,
Campus life pastor at her side,
far from home,
Would she be alright?
What if she had not woken up?
The worst part was,
seeing the fearful faces,
they were so unsure,
what to do,
she felt so,
scared,
unsure,
fearful,
her parents had always been at the bed side,
but they weren't there,
to hold their little girl's hand,
they would know,
they would be there,
telling her it would be ok,

Lying there,
full of what-ifs,
IV in hand,
so weak,
on that cold,
hospital bed.
